Eli Fasano was such a wonderful man! I met him while I was a student at Rutgers University in the mid 90’s. He had a table set up in the student center with information on Messianic Judaism. I was a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian at the time, so I was very interested in learning more about Jews who believed in Christ, and how my beliefs and customs as an SDA aligned with Messianic Jewish beliefs and customs. We became fast friends, and I soon thereafter became the official student representative needed for him to continue setting up on campus. He gifted me with a Jewish New Testament, which I still have, and viewed just this morning, which is what made me think of him. I’m so grateful for the people that God has put in my path along this journey of life, and Eli Fasano is one of those wonderful people. I often wondered where he was over the years after I graduated from college, but didn’t know how to find him. I’m sorry to hear that he passed away so long ago, but I’m so grateful for the many lives he touched with his ministry. May God continue to bless those he reached, and to those who are reaching out to others because of him.
