Obituary of Dabney Von Knobloch Moon
Dr. Dabney von Knobloch Moon died, Sunday, December 7, 2008, at JFK Hospice Center in Edison. Born in New York City in 1913, Dr. Moon spent his childhood in Baltimore, MD and Winston Salem, NC while spending summers in Charlottesville, VA. He lived his adult life in Plainfield.
Dr. Moon obtained both his Bachelors and his Medical Degree at the University of Virginia. During World War II he served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Air Corps.
Prior to retiring in 1988 he was a physician at Muhlenberg Hospital and also had his own private practice in Plainfield.
Dr. Moon was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Plainfield. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the New York Yankees and UVA football games, playing bridge and most of all spending time with his family.
Dr. Moon is predeceased by his loving wife Mary Clay Moon in 1991.
He is survived by his three daughters Anne Moon and her husband Douglas Stark, Welby Moon and Susan Moon.
