Obituary of Mary D. Levine

Lebanon: Mary D. Levine, age 81, died on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and had resided in Watchung, where she had lived for over 35 years, before moving to Lebanon in 2005. Mrs. Levine received her Bachelors Degree in English from Carlton College. She was a homemaker for the first 15 years of her marriage, staying home to raise her children. She then worked as a Group Sales Manager for major retail dept. stores throughout NJ for over 20 years. She was an active member of the community, serving as the President of the Watchung PTA for several years. She was a passionate reader and loved politics. Mrs. Levine is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Levine in 2006. Surviving are her sons, Andrew Levine of Charlottesville, VA, John Levine and his wife Angela of Berkeley, CA, Thomas Levine and his wife Maria of Gladstone, NJ and Charles Levine of Richmond, VA; her daughter, Ann Chrapowicki and her husband Stan of Bernardsville, NJ; her sisters, Ann Bartholomew and Louise Roe; her grandchildren, Sydney, Devon, Ruby, Kyle and Ashley Levine and Luke and Emma Chrapowicki. A private family graveside service was held under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to either Chabad of Somerset County 3048 Valley Rd.
