Obituary of Philomena Peruta

Philomena (Cambialetta) Peruta, age 85, died on Monday, December 22nd, 2008 at Genesis Health Care-Lopatcong Center in Phillipsburg. Born in Syracuse, NY she was raised in Plainfield and then moved to Martinsville where she resided for 35 years prior to residing in Phillipsburg. Mrs. Peruta worked for Giddings Clothing Factory in Raritan as a seamstress prior to retiring. She was a former member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Martinsville. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and watching soap operas. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. Predeceased by her husband Nunzio Peruta in 1992. Surviving are her daughters Mary Triola; Margaret Febo and her husband Jim; her son Anthony Peruta and his fiancee Donna Morrow; her brothers Michael and Samuel; her sisters Margaret and Irene; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, December 26th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Martinsville. Cremation is private.
