Obituary of Beverly Zimmerman

Beverly McKay Zimmerman, age, 69, died on Friday, January 2, 2009 at her home in Warren. She was born and raised in Rochester, NY and had lived in New York City, New Providence, Summit and then to Warren. Mrs. Zimmerman received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Cornell School of Nursing in NYC and her Master's Degree and Doctorate in Education from Teacher's College in NYC (Columbia University). She taught at Seton Hall University and then became a Nursing Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University retiring in 1994.. She enjoyed playing couples bridge with her husband at the Newcomers Club of Warren where they made many friends. Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by her husband, Abraham Zimmerman; her daughters, Lisa Baranov and her husband Vladimir of Siberia and Sarah Zimmerman of Virginia and her brother, Roy McKay of Connecticut. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 4th from 3 to 6 pm with a service at 3:30 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will be held on Monday privately. Entombment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park.
