Obituary of Jeneffer McKoy

Jeneffer Samuels-McKoy was born on March 22, 1977 to Enid and Oswald Samuels in Brooklyn, New York. She departed this life on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Jeneffer was the youngest of five children and loved life. She attended Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY. Jeneffer then went on to study for her nursing degree at New York Technical College and Union County College. On February 14, 1997 she was united in marriage to Charles McKoy and this union brought forth four children: Armani, Charles III, Christian and Autumn. The family relocated to Roselle, New Jersey in 2004. She worked at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn for 5 years. For the last two years she worked as a Nurse at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation in Jersey City where she was respected and well liked by colleagues and staff. Caring for others was her passion. She was witty and known for her kind smile, good nature and zest for life. She always had a kind word for everyone she met. Her children were her pride and joy. Jeneffer and Charles were a true team; they were best friends and inseparable. She was loved by all who knew her well. Jeneffer was a loving, caring and devoted wife and mother who at the age of 31, is survived by: her husband of 12 years Charles, four children, three sons, Armani, Charles, III and Christian; a daughter, Autumn; her parents, Oswald and Enid E. Samuels; two sisters, Michelle and Janet Samuels and two brothers, Kevin and Shaun Samuels; two sister-in-laws, Yolanda and Keisha Samuels; her mother-in-law, Annie McKoy Green, her father-in-law Thomas Green and a brother-in-law Malik McKoy; two nieces, Shaunalee and Mia; a nephew, Malik, Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
