Obituary of James Walter Gulledge

James Walter Gulledge, Sr., age 66, passed away at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville on Thursday, February 5, 2009. He was born on February 13, 1942 in Malden Missouri to Elmer and Nora Gulledge, both deceased. James served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska during the earthquake of 1964. James retired from the United States Postal Service in 1998. James is survived by his wife, Virginia of 46 years and his children, Ginette Hughes, of Florida, Debra Johnson, James, Serena and Karen Gulledge all of North Plainfield and one grandson, Devin Hughes of Florida; sisters, Mergie, Marie, Brenda, Linda, Debra, Faye, and a brother, Kenneth Lloyd. Preceded in death by his brother, George William. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Services on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069. There will be a viewing from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation is private.
