Obituary of Cecelia R. Fox

Cecelia R. Fox, age 92, died on Friday, March 27, 2009 at McAuley Hall Health Care Center in Watchung. She was born in Paterson, NJ and had lived in Toms River, Bayville and Pequannock before moving to McAuley Hall in July of 2005. Mrs. Fox received her Nursing Degree from St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson in 1938. Prior to her retirement in 1999, she was a Geriatric Nurse in nursing homes in New Jersey. Mrs. Fox served in the United States Army Nursing Corps from 1944 to 1946. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Barnabas in Bayville and volunteered for the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Fox is predeceased by her husband, Charles Fox in 1989 and her sisters, Elizabeth, Mary and Grace and her brothers, Bud, John and Joe. Surviving are her sons, Charles B., Jr of Pompton Plains, Francis E. of Toms River and Daniel W. of Lumberton; her daughter, Cecelia M. Fox of Mendham and 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March30th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel at McAuley Hall. Entombment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McAuley Hall Health Care Center, 1633 Highway 22, Watchung, NJ 07069.
