Obituary of Betty J. Wilson

Betty Joyce Wilson, 84, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at her daughter's home in Edison. Born and raised in Morristown, she moved to Plainfield 50 years ago. Betty was a very active volunteer in the Plainfield School System for 30 years. She also was involved with the Plainfield Boy and Girl Scouts and Little League. Her husband, Alvin Wilson predeceased her in 1999, her son, David Wilson in 1975 and a grandchild, Kristy Wilson in 1999. Surviving are two sons, A. James and Randy Wilson, her honorary son, Kevin Scott; three daughters, Nancy Lombardi, Linda Wilson and Betty Jane Wilson; a sister, Florence West; seven grandchildren, Nancy Lynn and Scott Lombardi, James, Kevin, Kasey, Kyle and Michael Wilson and four great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to meet on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 9:00 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield and process to Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in East Hanover for the Funeral Services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 - 7:00 pm. Donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be deeply appreciated.
