Obituary of Yongwei Gu

Yongwei Gu, 47, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born April 20, 1961 in Shanghai, China to Guoxiong Gu and Biyun Liu, he resides in Green Brook, NJ.Yongwei received his Post Doctorate Degree from Wayne State University in Michigan.An engineer and an entrepreneur , Yongwei purchased Hanovia Specialty Lighting in Fairfield two years ago. A very dedicated and talented father and husband, he was fond of many interests and sports, especially on handyman projects and photography.Surviving are his wife, Liming Du; his daughter Tammy and son, Michael all of Green Brook, and a sister, Yong Li and parents Guoxiong Gu and Biyun Liu all of Shanghai, China and numerous friends.Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm followed by a 4:00 pm Funeral Service at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
