Obituary of Elda N. Friedman

Elda N. Friedman, 88, passed away peacefully on April 14 after a long illness. She was a longtime resident of Plainfield and spent her later years in Lakewood. She worked for 30 years as a manager for Sears in Plainfield and Ocean Township, and was active in the Democratic Party. She often did volunteer work in elementary schools and libraries. Elda was the loving wife of Samuel Friedman (of blessed memory), and beloved sister of Julia Cohen (of blessed memory) and David Nusbaum (of blessed memory). She is survived by her sons Kenneth and Robert, daughters-in-law Janice and Ann, grandchildren Sarah, Joshua, Julia, Eric, and Kurt, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield, on Friday, April 17th at 12:30pm.
