Obituary of Lawrence W. Rohling

Lawrence W. Rohling, Jr. age 54, died suddenly on April 18th, 2009, at J.F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison. Born in Plainfield, he had resided in Millington since 1963. Lawrence was the owner of Gravely Tractor Sales and Service in Watchung for many years. He was a communicant of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Stirling. Lawrence was a huge fan of Nascar Racing and enjoyed all levels of the sport including the local races at the Flemington Speed Way. He is predeceased by his father, Lawrence W. Rohling, Sr. in 1989. Surviving are his mother, Phyllis Frame Rohling; sisters, Catherine Oraison and her husband, Luis, Barbara Quastad and her husband, Murray, Phyllis L. Rohling and Jean Kofel and her husband, Jim; his brother, Thomas Rohling and his wife, Amy; his longtime companion, Denise Dooley; many nieces and nephews and two grandnephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Stirling. Interment will follow at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery.
