Obituary of Bernard I Liss
Warren: Mr. Bernard Ira Liss, 95, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
Born in Providence, RI, he resided in NYC, Sheffield, AL, Jersey City and Middlesex before moving to Warren.
Bernard received his BS degree from City College of NY. He was a licensed engineer in NY and NJ who worked for the Atomic Energy Commission during WWII. He was a chemical engineer for AIRCO, Inc. in Murray Hill and retired from Lummus in Bloomfield.
His first wife, Marjorie Burger Liss and second wife Adele Morse Liss both predeceased him.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Richard Liss and his wife Eleanor of Warren; a daughter, Susan Rivera and her husband Aniceto of Boonton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May, 24, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Beth Israel Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodbridge. Arrangements by Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung
