Obituary of Frank Joseph Neher, Jr.

Frank Joseph Neher, Jr., age 95, died on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Sunrise Assisted Living in Basking Ridge. Born and raised in Newark, he had resided in Chatham for many years before moving to Monroe Township.A graduate of Seton Hall University in 1949, Frank received a degree in Business. Prior to retiring, he was the Regional Director for the Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, in New York City for over twenty years. A Veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. A devoted husband to Marie for over 60 years, she predeceased him in April of 2004. Though they had no children of their own, they were deeply loved and involved in the lives of their many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. There will be no visiting hours.
