Obituary of Mary DiPaola
Mary DiPaola, age 82, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was born in Boston. She lived in Bridgewater and Toms River before moving to Warren in 2001.
Mrs. DiPaola was an original AT&T operator before becoming a homemaker. She later obtained her GED at Somerset County College in Branchburg in 1980.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren.
She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, the Bridge Club and Rosary Friday Nights, all at the Chelsea of Warren.
Mrs. DiPaola was a hardworking woman who worked to better herself and others and she will be greatly missed.
Mrs. DiPaola is predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. DiPaola and her daughter Christine DiPaola.
Surviving are her children, Mary T. DiPaola, Kathleen S. Halak and her husband Jack, Joseph M. DiPaola, PhD.and his wife MaryAnn, Leonard D. DiPaola and his wife Barbara, Peter T. DiPaola and his wife Carla, Florence A. Snow and her husband John, Shirley Dahab and her husband Hany, Theresa M. DiPaola, and Paula J. Clark and her husband Howard and fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: her sister, T. Shirley Pichette and her brother, Frank Hogan, both of Rhode Island.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, June 13th at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:15 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
