Obituary of Loretta V. McDonald

Loretta V. (Dunbar) McDonald, age 95, died peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Manor Care Nursing Home in New Providence. Mrs. McDonald was born in Bound Brook and had lived in North Plainfield for 68 years before residing in Manor Care 4 months ago. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Mrs. McDonald is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Francis McDonald in 1987. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her son, Donald McDonald and his wife Diane of Basking Ridge; three granddaughters, Lauire Cartabona and her husband Lou of Alpha, NJ; Kathleen Antonacci and her husband Rob of Plant City, FL; and Donna McDonald of North Plainfield, NJ. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Dana Hackman of Medford, MA and Michael Hackman of Pine Hill, NJ along with a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30 from 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 1st at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
