Obituary of Richard William Marks

Richard William Marks, age 82, died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Colonial Manor in York, PA. Born and raised in Irvington, he lived in Plainfield for 46 years before moving to Dover. Prior to retiring he was a telephone technician with Bell Atlantic in New Brunswick for forty-six years. He served in the Navy during World War II. He is predeceased by his wife Doris E. Marks in 1987. Surviving are his sons Thomas Marks and Charlotte, Timothy Marks and his wife A.J., John Marks and his wife Lisa; Patrick Marks and his wife Dorothy; his sister Ruth Kovacs; grandchildren Sean, Sarah, Joseph and Elizabeth Marks. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
