Obituary of Alfred A. Weis, Jr.

Alfred A. Weis, Jr, age 62, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. He was born in Plainfield and had lived in Roselle Park before moving to Edison in 1978.Mr. Weis received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and his Master's Degree in Business Administration, both from Farleigh Dickinson University in Madison.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Weis worked as a Sales Consultant for General Electric in Parsippany for 25 years. After he retired, he started his own independent consulting firm.He enjoyed, boating, fishing hunting and woodworking. He also enjoyed traveling to the islands and scuba diving.He is predeceased by his parents, Alfred A. Weis, Sr. in 1972 and Cecilia Weis in 2008.Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Miller Weis and his daughter, Karen and her fiance, Mike.Funeral services will begin on Saturday, July 11th at 9:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10 am funeral mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church. Interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 to 8 pm only.
