Obituary of Tani Kirsten Koppelman
Tani Kirsten Koppelman, age 23, died on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Born in Edison she had lived in North Plainfield her entire life.Tani was a graduate of North Plainfield High School in 2003, where she played Varsity Softball. She attended Wesley College, Raritan Valley Community College and graduated from the Chubb Institute in 2008, with a degree as a Certified Medical Assistant. She loved working with children and was employed by the Goddard School in Warren since 2004, as a teacher's assistant. An avid Yankee fan who especially loved Derek Jeter, she was equally devoted to her Yorkie, Zoe.Tani had battled with Pulmonary Hypertension for almost three years with courage and strength most cannot understand. She will be remembered for her love of life by her parents Mitchell and Debbie Koppelman, her grandparents, cousins and many extended family. Her sister Kelly Marie Seibert predeceased her in 1993 also succumbed to Pulmonary Hypertension.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to12:00 noon at Higgins Home for Funeral, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Funeral Service at noon.
