Obituary of Steven W. Poliansky

Steven W. Poliansky, age 53 died on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Linden before moving to Scotch Plains in 1979. Mr. Poliansky received his BA in Architectural Engineering from NY Institute of Technology. He was an Estimator for Structure Tone in New York. At one time, he served on the Board of Directors for the Nativity Mission Center in New York City. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with his family. Mr. Polianksy is predeceased by his father, Steven Poliansky. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Sabanos Poliansky; his son, William John Poliansky of Scotch Plains; his daughter, Stephanie Poliansky Blash and her husband, Robert of Scotch Plains; his mother, Margaret Koren; his brother, Walter Poliansky and his wife, Hope of MD; his sister, Maryann Buscemi of Brick and 9 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27th at 10:00a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by cremation at Somerset Hills Memorial Park.
