Obituary of Michel Bass

Michel Bass, age 89, died on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was born in Poland, moved to England in 1939 before moving to the United States in 1950. He resided in North Plainfield since 1960.Prior to his retirement in 1980, he was an Engineer for Bates Manufacturing, Co. in Hackettstown.Mr. Bass was a member of Temple Beth-El of Plainfield and Congregation Beth Israel of Scotch Plains.He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Risa Tabak Bass; his daughter, Ellen Bass-Tripp and her husband Steven of Westfield and his two grandchildren, Tovah and Charles Tripp.Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
