Obituary of Dorothy Emma McCalley

Dorothy Emma Tornow McColley, age 95, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her home in Watchung. She was born in Scotch Plains and was a long time Watchung resident. She was a homemaker. Mrs. McColley enjoyed golf, tennis, home decorating and making ceramics. She was a member of Plainfield Country Club and several drama clubs. She is predeceased by her husband Daniel Hudson McColley in 2001. Surviving are her daughter, Sally Joyce; her grandchildren, Catherine and her husband Louis and Sandy and his wife Kimberly; her great-grandchildren, Courtney, David, Amber, Daniel, Tara, Keith, Shelby, Kacy and Sydney and her beloved cat, Pammy. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Plainfield Humane Society, 75 Rock Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060.
