George made a powerful impact on my son, Edmund, when he coached his Little League team many years ago. Not possessing the best athletic skills at that age, George allowed Edmund (and others with like abilities) to play first base until they made three errors. He knew how important this was to help build an eight year old's esteem. Today, Edmund is a cardiologist/electrophysiologist and continues to reflect on how his Little League experience with Mr. Ring as his coach was such a positive one - it was about having fun and trying hard and feeling good about yourself. I am grateful I got a chance to personally thank him many years ago. Our deepest condolences to the Ring family.
