Obituary of Marion V. Wright

Marion V. Wright, age 95, of Watchung died on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerset. She was born in Yonkers, NY and had lived in Linden before moving to Watchung. Mrs. Wright graduated from the Roselle Public School System and the Drake Business School. She was a member of the Linden Methodist Church for 61 years. She was an "Air Raid Warden: for the Linden Defense Council during World War II. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Wright was the secretary and treasurer for Wright Marine Towing in Elizabeth. Previously, she had worked at Heidritter Lumber Co., in Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her husband, Walter W. Wright; her parents, Gottlieb and Verena Ulmer; her brothers, Herman and Rudolph Ulmer and her grandson, Walter G. Stine. Surviving are her daughter, Vera Stine and her husband, Rowland (Pete) and her grandson, Roger Stein and his wife, Jill Mezzacappa. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18th at 11 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:30 to 8:30 pm.
