Obituary of Beverly Holwitt

Beverly (Rudnick) Holwitt, age 84, died on Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Martin & Edith Stein Assisted Living in Somerset. Beverly was born in Newark to the late Max Rudnick and Eva Botansky. She lived in South Plainfield and Hillsborough before residing in Somerset 5 months ago. Beverly worked as a Comptroller for East Coast Warehouse in Port Elizabeth for 14 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of Temple Beth El in Plainfield, a member of the Sisterhood and was also their past president. Beverly was an avid reader who enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. Beverly is predeceased by her husband, Victor Holwitt; her three sisters, Tess Jaspan, Blanche Mintz and Charlotte Rudnick. She is survived by her two sons, Robert Holwitt and his wife Karen of Pitman, Eric Holwitt and his wife Dara of San Antonio, TX; her daughter, Elisa H. Duch and her husband Joe of Hillsborough; one brother, Harold Rudnick and his wife Judy of Tinton Falls; six grandchildren, Joel, Greg, Heather, Vanessa, Andrew and Alison. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield with Rabbi Moshe Samber officiating. Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
