Hazel L. Tepper
Bridgewater: Mrs. Hazel Levine Tepper, 95, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater.
Born and raised in New York City, she attended Calhoun School and received a BA degree in History from Barnard College. After her marriage to Benjamin Tepper, they lived together in Plainfield for 60 years.
A member of Temple Sholom, Scotch Plains, she was a longtime member of the Muhlenberg Hospital Twig, where she started a visitation program for patients. Mrs. Tepper taught an Art Appreciation class at the Hartridge School in Plainfield.
In 2000, Mr. and Mrs. Tepper moved to the Arbor Glen Retirement Community. The focal point of her life was her husband of 65 years as well as her family and an especially warm group of close friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin in 2004 and by a sister, Isabel Romm.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law Maxine and Lewis Krulwich of NYC and Anne and Jeffrey Pearl of CA three grandsons Bruce (Michal), David and Steve (Sandra) Krulwich and a granddaughter Laura (David) Shapiro, eight great grandchildren and one on the way, two nephews and a niece.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 12 at 11:00 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung with Rabbi Joel Abraham officiating followed by interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin. To send condolences, please visit www.higginsfuneralhome.com.
