Dear Morrissey Family,
I was very dismayed when I saw the obituaries in last Monday's Courier News about Hazel and John. Our families organized and swam together at the Amara Swimming Pool, where we initiated our friendships. Jerry and Leo became good friends at the pool.
I couldn't attend the viewings or the Mass for Hazel and John because I flew to Houston on Tuesday to be with our kids Margie (Cioci) and Jerry for Christmas week. I took the sorrowful news to them. They were also saddened by it.
As we informed John and Hazel in our Christmas card this year, my wife, Jean, died this past April. But Margie, Jerry and I send our condolences to you and will remember Hazel, John and you in our prayers.
