Obituary of Rowland L. Stine

Rowland L. Stine died on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was born and raised in Plainfield and had lived in Watchung for 34 years. Mr. Stine was a carpenter for over 40 years and for the past 18 years, he owned and operated Suds and Dry Laundromat in Bridgewater. He was the Cub Leader for the Cub Scout Pack #32. He enjoyed skiing and camping. Mr. Stine is predeceased by his son, Walter G. Stine in 2007. Survivng are his wife, Vera Wright Stine and his son, Roger Stine and his wife, Jill Mezzacappa. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8th at 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung followed by interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patriots Path Council, 222 Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park, NJ 07932 for the Boy Scouts/Camp Scouts Scholarships.
