Obituary of Isabel Howell

Isabel P. Howell (Peggy) - 92 years old passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 at Runnels Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Peggy was born in County Sligo, Ireland April 19, 1917 and moved with her family to Brooklyn NY in 1927. She married Robert J. Howell of Somerville, MA on June 21, 1941 and spent 59+ years happily married until her beloved husband's death in 2001. Peggy was a faithful servant of the Lord and His people and touched the lives of many by her generosity and wonderful hospitality. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be missed. She is survived by two older siblings; Maxwell Coulter (100) of Westchester, PA, and Lorna Ware (95) of Florida. Peggy also leaves her beloved children, Edith M. Pontefract of Stamford, CT, Lorna R. Lidbeck of Stockholm Sweden, Helen I. Dadd of Green Brook, NJ, Freda J. Byrnie of Knoxville, TN, Robert C. Howell of Chelmsford, Ma, and Peter B. Howell of Salinas, CA., 18 grand children and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Mountain Ridge Bible Chapel 763 Mountain Ave. Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922, as follows: Viewing hours will be at 10:00am to 11:00am, funeral service from 11:00am - 12:00noon immediately followed by internment at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodlawn Ave, Scotch Plains. Funeral services are under the direction of Higgins Home For Funerals.
