Obituary of Veronica T. Blackman

Clark: Veronica T. (McCarron) Blackman, age 92, died on Saturday January 16, 2010 at The Clark Nursing Home in Clark NJ. Born in Chester PA, Mrs. Blackman had resided in Plainfield and Westfield before moving to Clark. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Plainfield where she was a past president of the Rosary Society, a member of the Catholic Women's Club and a board member of Learning for Life. Mrs. Blackman loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband William O. Blackman, two sons William D. and James S. Blackman, two grandchildren Robert B. Blackman II and Maria Blackman. She is also predeceased by six of her seven siblings She is survived by a son Robert B. Blackman of Edison, two daughters Mary B. Diller of Little Egg Harbor and Anne E Horan of Westfield; a brother Paul McCarron; 10 grandchildren William, Theresa, Diane, Timothy, Elizabeth, Daniel, Lisa, Liam, Mary Kate and Jack. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday January 19th 2010 at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ followed an 11:00 am Funeral service. Interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Orange, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
