Obituary of Bernard Zegarski
Bernard R. Zegarski, age 70, died on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at his home in Warren. He was born and raised in Nanticoke, PA and had resided in Warren since 1967.
Mr. Zegarski received his Bachelor's Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Prior to his retirement, he was a researcher for Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies in Murray Hill for over 40 years.
He was a member of the National Guard Reserve.
Mr. Zegarski played semi-pro baseball in his home town of Nanticoke. He belonged to the Murray Hill Men's Bowling League. He umpired and coached games for the Warren Girls Softball League and the Little League.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Scott Zegarski; his daughters, Cheryl Miller and her husband Ron, Carrie Zegarski and Robyn Pierce and her husband Ryan; his sister, Patricia Stuccio and her husband Dr. Vincent Stuccio; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Patrick and Cecelia Miller.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, January 26th at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church, Warren, NJ. He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
