Obituary of Herbert Eugene Glasco, Jr.

Herbert Eugene Glasco, Jr., 45, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison. Born in Plainfield, he was raised and attended the schools in Westfield before returning to Plainfield three years ago. Prior to becoming disabled, Mr. Glasco had been employed as an assistant manager at Shopper's Liquor in Westfield and a supply clerk at JFK Medical Center. He enjoyed building model airplanes and was a devoted Washington Redskins fan. Surviving are his wife, Sonya (Evans) Glasco; his parents, Herbert and Mary Glasco; three brothers, Thomas, Michael and Jeffrey Glasco; two sisters, Adrienne Glasco and Ceciley Marshall and his loving and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 4 to 6pm followed by a 6:00 pm Service at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield. Cremation is private. His final resting place will be Troy, Alabama.
