Sr. Marguerite came to New Jersey to minister at Mount St. Mary House of Prayer in 1998. We were so blessed by her presence with us. We miss her dearly, but her joyful and peaceful spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

I will always remember S. Marguerite from her recent days in Gabriel Hall on the hill in Watchung. Her gentle and very kind ways were calming and serene. She was a joy to speak with. She has left us so fast, and will be missed by many.

I was first drawn to the quiet gentle manner of Sr. Marguerite while attending a prayer meeting at the House of Prayer. She spoke of her Quaker roots and at once I knew why there was such a peaceful countenaance about her. Whenever we had occasion to meet from then on, she always radiated that peace and gentleness, and I am sure she is radiating heavenly peace now in the gentle company of angels.

I lived with Se. M. Marguerite during several of her early ministries in New Orleans. She was a very relational person, and so kind and gentle. It was a privilege to know her and to share Community with her.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all the RSMs at the Mount and McAuley as well as to her sisters in the former St. Louis Community and her family. I first met Marguerite at the GGeneralate in 1977 and then lived at the Mount where we often chatted. Yes, Marguerite was a gentle, compassionate Southern woman of Mercy.

Marguerite was a gentle, compassionate presence with/for many of us who were with her during some of our "formation" years at Mercy Center in St. Louis. I am grateful that our paths crossed many times in the years that followed.
