Obituary of Maria Di Bianca
Maria (Maglio) Di Bianca, age 97, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010, at her home in Warren, New Jersey. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY she has lived in Warren since 2006.
Prior to retiring, Maria worked as a school aide at McKee High School in Staten Island for 20 years; prior to that she worked for Morgan Guarantee & Trust in New York City as a secretary.
Maria was President of the Columbiettes at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Staten Island. She was a member of the Mount Loretto Chapter, the Senior Citizens Center in Staten Island, N Y, and recently very active in the Somerset County Warrenbrook Senior Organization in Warren. In her spare time she loved dancing, traveling all through Europe and taking cruises with her husband, now deceased. She was devoted to her family, enjoying many parties and gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Di Bianca in 2001.
Surviving are her sons, Anthony Di Bianca and his wife, Edna of Sarasota, Florida and Sal Di Bianca and his wife, Teresa of Warren, New Jersey; 5 grandchildren, Anthony John Di Bianca, Robert Di Bianca, Marie Gherlone, Loretta Di Bianca Fois, and Paul Di Bianca. She is also survived by her ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, New Jersey. Funeral service will be on Saturday February 27th at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel in Warren.
