Obituary of Ruth C. Ehalt
Deerfield Beach, FL: Ruth C. Ehalt, age 80, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Chelsea in Warren, NJ. Mrs. Ehalt was born in East Liverpool, Ohio and had lived in Mansfield, Ohio before moving to Deerfield Beach, FL many years ago.
Mrs. Ehalt received her Master's Degree from Kent State. Ruth's career spanned 39 years of involvement with children with special needs as a teacher and eventually supervisor of teachers. In her work, she always sought new ways of applying different techniques to achieve the greatest out of her students. She dedicated her career to developing approaches to teaching, so that students would gain the most.
Mrs. Ehalt was a member of the Woodbrook Country Club in Mansfield, OH and the Mansfield Federation of Women.
She enjoyed golf, bridge and was an avid reader.
Ruth was predeceased by her second husband, Robert Ehalt; her first husband, Norman Weaver; her sisters, Ila Mae Johnston, Betty Veselick, Bernice Arter and Katherine McCall and her brother, Jack Chamberlin.
Mrs. Ehalt is survived by her sister, Marian Dietz and nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews located throughout the United States.
A Memorial Service and Burial will be held on May 8th at The Longs Run Presbyterian Church, Calcutta, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 2331 NE 26th Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL designated to the Music Program or to Special Olympics Ohio, P.O.
