Obituary of Josephine Adcock

Josephine Adcock, age 95, died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at her home in Warren. She was born in Ithaca, NY and had lived in Irvington for 31 years before moving to Warren three years ago. Mrs. Adcock was loving homemaker, diehard Mets fan who enjoyed playing Bingo and lottery scratch-offs. She is predeceased by her husband, Luther G. Adcock. Surviving are her son, Luther G. Adcock and his wife, Susan; her daughter, Patricia Petty and her husband, Arthur; her brother, Stanley Ananko; her brother-in-law, James Paldino; her grandchildren, Gary Adcock, Paul Adcock and Joseph Brooks and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin on Monday, April 19th at 9:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:15 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Somerset Hills, 200 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920, envelopes will be provided at visitation.
