Obituary of Herbert Otto Weidner

Herbert Otto Weidner, 89, died Monday, May 31, 2010 at Dominican Santa Cruz Hospital, Santa Cruz, CA. Born in New York City, he resided in Warren Township, New Jersey for close to 50 years before moving to Santa Cruz, California seven years ago. Prior to retiring in 1990, he was employed as a plumber by Walters Plumbing & Heating in Watchung for over 50 years. He was involved with the Boy Scouts for over 25 years, auto racing, loved animals and his cat Sophie. He always made a point of keeping in touch with his friends. Surviving are daughters Kathleen Rosenberg Weidner and husband Michael of Freehold, New Jersey, Melissa Weidner and husband Dr. Gerald Krueger of Salt Lake City, Utah son, Kurt J. Weidner and wife Louise of Santa Cruz, California. Grandson Eric Weidner and wife Carole of Philadelphia, PA. Preceded in death by son Neil Weidner and Grandson Joshua Weidner. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 5 at 10 am at Lake Nelson Memorial Park Cemetery in Piscataway. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung.
