Obituary of Evelyn Hidalgo

North Plainfield: Evelyn Hidalgo, age 53, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 28, 2010 of an asthma attack. She was born in Puerto Rico, grew up in NJ and moved to North Plainfield 5 years ago. Mrs. Hidalgo had worked at H & R Block in North Plainfield and was also an esthetician at a salon. She loved bingo, dominos, dancing and entertaining. She was full of life. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Plainfield. Mrs. Hidalgo was predeceased by her brother, Danny Alvarez in 2008. Surviving are her loving sons, Vicente DeJesus Hidalgo and David Christian Hidalgo, both of GA; her mother, Hilda Ruiz; her brothers, Giovanni Zamora, Alex Alvarez and Allan Alvarez and her grandson, Antonio Hidalgo. She is also survived by her aunts, Anna Vasquez and Alice Chadwick and her uncles, Tito, Tonio and Jose. Funeral services will begin on Friday, July 2nd at 8:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral mass at St. Mary's Church in Plainfield. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
