Obituary of Peter Valentini

Peter Valentini, age 53, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York after a courageous year and a half battle with cancer. He was born in Perth Amboy, grew up in Fords and had lived in Clinton and Bridgewater before moving to Stirling 15 years ago. Mr. Valentini was currently a Plant Operator at Exxon Mobil in Clinton where he had over thirty years of service. He and his son had a special bond listening to music together and going to concerts. He loved to watch his daughter play basketball. He also enjoyed playing golf with friends and cheering for the Yankees. Mr. Valentini is predeceased by his father, Peter Valentini, Sr. Surviving are his wife, Susan Motley Valentini; his son, Peter Matthew Valentini and his daughter, Alexandra Valentini, both at home; his mother, Antoinette Olivieri Valentini: his sister, Roseann Porcelli and her husband Joseph Porcelli and his in-laws, Helen and Joseph Motley. Funeral services will begin on Monday, August 2nd at 8:45 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Vincent DePaul Church in Stirling. Cremation is private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
