Obituary of Susan W. Christenson

Susan W. Christenson, age 70, died on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was born in Plainfield and and was raised in Elizabeth, NJ graduating from Battin High School. Mrs. Christenson resided in Warren Township for several years before moving to Watchung in 1967. Mrs. Christenson was a communicant of St. Mary's Stony Hill Church in Watchung. She was a member of the Muhlenberg Twigs and Watchung Rescue Rescue Squad. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their home in Lavalette, painting and art. She also ran her own interior design business, The Ridge. Mrs. Christenson is survived by her husband of 49 years, George T. Christenson, III; her sons, George Thomas Christenson, IV and his wife, Rachel of Clinton, NJ, Kevin Casey Christenson and his wife, Lynn of Williams Twp., PA and Jonathan Maxwell Christenson and his wife, Carolyn of Boonton, NJ and her grandchildren, Emma, Kelly, Carolyn, Samuel and William Casey "Wyatt". Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, August 11th at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church. Interment will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
