Obituary of Margaret M. Sorochen

Margaret M. Sorochen, age 85, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Raritan Health Care in Raritan. Born in Weehawken, she was raised in Jersey City, had lived in Old Bridge, the Marion Manor in Caldwell for 20 years and most recently has resided in Raritan. She was a former daily communicant of St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell. Throughout her life, Margaret enjoyed collecting teddy bears. She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. Sorochen in 1992. Surviving are her brothers, Edward and William O'Connor; her sisters, Catherine O'Connor and Theresa Luzzi and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Blessed Sacrament Church, Martinsville. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery in Morganville. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
