Obituary of Agnes L. Wimmer

Agnes L. Wimmer, age 91, died on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Agnes was born and raised in East Orange and then moved to Warren in the late 1940's where she has been a lifelong resident. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Martinsville where she was one of the founding members of the Circle of Friends group, and was former member of Our Lady of The Mount Roman Catholic Church in Warren. Agnes worked 30 years for Warren Township as an Administrative Assistant along with being the secretary for the Warren Township Planning Board, Board of Adjustment and Sewage Authority and she was the violations clerk for the town. Mrs. Wimmer loved gardening, birds, knitting and traveling with her husband. She also loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Wimmer in 1999. Agnes is survived by her son, Gary J. Wimmer and his wife Carol of Milltown; two grandchildren, Lauren Tullo and her husband Paul and Erin Wimmer; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Sarah Tullo, two nephews Ken Laird and his wife Sandy and Roy Laird and his wife Joan along with a host of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 12, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass Of Resurrection at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Martinsville with the interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution can be made to St. Joseph's Shrine 1050 Long Hill Road, Stirling, NJ 07980.
