Obituary of Charlie Ernest Hines

Charlie E. Hines, Jr., 59, husband of June Dennis Hines, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born on August 18, 1950 to the late Charlie and Fannie Hines of Suffolk, Virginia. Mr. Hines was in the graduating class of 1968 at John F. Kennedy High School in Suffolk, Virginia. He went on to obtain a B.S. Degree in Accounting from North Carolina A & T University in Greensboro, North Carolina. During the last thirty-seven years, Mr. Hines was employed as a financial advisor at the Johnson and Johnson Headquarters in New Brunswick, NJ and with the Acacia Life Insurance Company in Princeton, NJ. He greatest accomplishment was serving as a dedicated father to four sons. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hines is survived by his four sons, Brian Hines, Eric Hines, Christopher Hines and Jordan Hines, all of Plainfield; his seven sisters, Gwendolyn Hines of Silver Spring, Maryland, Sheila Hines Grimstead of Piscataway, NJ, Sandra Hines Elliott of Cantonsville, Maryland, Cynthia Hines Whitehead of Silver Spring, Maryland, Paula Hines of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Barbara Hines of Laurel, Maryland and Phyllis Hines Perdue of Clinton, Maryland. Also surviving are his four aunts, Mrs. Annie Land and Mrs. Edith Mitchell of Suffolk, Virginia, Mrs. Shirley Darden of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Evelyn Wills of Richmond, Virginia; his brothers-in-law, Tyrone Elliott, Kirk Perdue and Solomon Bankole, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and dear friends who he loved and loved him very much.
