Obituary of Theodore Jack Bojum
Mr. Theodore Jack Bojum, 80, one of God's best creations, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, FL.
Born in NYC and raised in the Bronx, he resided in Jersey City, Dunellen and Watchung, NJ before retiring to FL.
Prior to retiring in 1998, he was a real estate and insurance broker for over 50 years at TJ Bojum, Inc. in North Plainfield, NJ.
He proudly rose to the rank of Sergeant in the US Marines serving two tours in the tank corps.
Marrying his childhood sweetheart, they had 58 wonderful years together. Devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was known affectionately as "Tata" to his family.
He enjoyed traveling and was known to stop at a casino occasionally.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Jean H. Bojum; his son, Frederick A. Bojum; daughter-in-law, Marilyn L. Bojum; his daughter, Samara D. Luckey; son-in-law, David S. Luckey; his granddaughters, Brittani M. Bojum, Sarah A. Luckey, Cassidy I. Luckey, Amanda R. Luckey; his sister, Gloria Delgase and her family and his cousin, Nancy Kaufman and her family and extended family, Agnes and Robert Longo and their children, Vincent Longo and Erika Longo; Roseanne and Philip Sohn and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 12 noon at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield, NJ followed by military honors and burial at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ. Donations in his memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Central Jersey Chapter, 740 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702 would be deeply appreciated.
