Obituary of Myrna J. Wayne

Myrna Bullock Wayne, age 77, entered into rest on Friday September 10, 2010 at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison. Born on August 10, 1933 in Plainfield, Mrs. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Westfield, spending her later years at the Westfield Senior Citizen's Complex. Due to injury and illness in 2003 she moved to the Ashbrook Care Center in Scotch Plains. Myrna was a member of the first graduating class of the Dorian Road Westfield High School facility in 1952. Prior to retiring she was a private duty nurse in Westfield for over 20 years. Known for her love of dancing and conversation, Myrna was outgoing, quick to smile and a loyal and defensive friend. Mrs Wayne is predeceased by her father James A. Bullock; her mother Thelma (Barnett) Bullock and her sister Mildred Robinson. She leaves two loving daughters Jacquie Bird of Orlando FL and Michele Burgess and her husband Melvin of Northampton PA; two grandsons Omar Bird and Aaron Wayne; a great granddaughter Aariona Wayne and a large extended family of cousins and friends. Visitation and memorial services will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 W 8th St., Plainfield, NJ on Friday September 17, 2010. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm, immediately followed at 12pm by the home going services and then the repass from 2pm to 5pm at the Jerseyland Park Community Center, 783 Jerusalem Rd, Scotch Plains. Interment will be on Saturday, September 18th at 11:45am at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery in North Brunswick.
