Obituary of George Joseph Molinari
George Joseph Molinari, age 85, died on Monday, September 27, 2010 at his daughter and son-in-law's home in Gladstone. He was born in Plainfield and was a life-long resident of North Plainfield.
Mr. Molinari served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Prior to his retirement in 1987, he was a salesman for Sears and Roebuck in Watchung. He was also a machinist for many years for Mack Motors in Plainfield.
He was a lifelong Communicant of St. Joseph's Church in North Plainfield.
Mr. Molinari loved the opera especially Pavarotti. He also enjoyed his many trips to Italy.
He is predeceased by his brother, Charles Molinari.
Mr. Molinari is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosalie Presuto Molinari; his daughter, Teresa Geisler and her husband, Ed of Gladstone; his brothers, Frank Molinari of PA and Esterino Molinari of Asbury, NJ.
Funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church in North Plainfield. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Plainfield Rescue Squad,334 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, NJ 07060-4730.
