Linnea, my condolences to you and your children on Erik's passing. Although, now living in Houston, I had not seen him since we had lunch together several years ago, he was the same irrepressible Erik that I remembered from all of our years together as colleagues at Exxon. Erik was my first boss, and I give him credit for the later success in my career as he was the one who taught me how to do research. Erik was one of the smartest most intelligent people I have ever worked with, and despite a sometimes critical demeanor, he had a heart as big as Sweden. All my memories of Erik are fond ones and I will miss him.
