Obituary of Arthur G. Walter

Warren: Arthur Gregory Walter, 74, died suddenly on October 10, 2010, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he moved to Warren in 1950 where he started his lifelong hobby of farming. Upon graduating from North Plainfield High School, he entered the family business, Walter Plumbing, Inc. in Watchung, NJ, joining Plumbers Local 24 and becoming a member of the NAPHCC. He retired in 1996, splitting his time between Warren and Windsor, VT. He was a founding member and president of the Warren Optimists, a director of the First National Bank of North Plainfield, and a member of Jerusalem Lodge 26 F & AM, The Grand Lodge of NJ and Crescent Temple. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lee Anne in 1984. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Jane Perry Walter, his son A. Perry Walter and daughter-in-law Trina Marie; his daughter Susan Hoffmann and son-in-law Mark; five grandchildren and two sisters Barbara Joan Macaulay and Elizabeth Jane Frank and her husband Richard. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 1:30 pm at Wilson Memorial Church, 7 Valley Road, Watchung. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung. Memorial donations may be made to: The American Red Cross, P.O.
