Obituary of Karen Denise Yerger

Basking Ridge: Karen Denise Yerger, age 59, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. She was born in East Orange, grew up in Rahway and had lived in Berkeley Heights before moving to Basking Ridge 15 years ago. Ms. Yerger received a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison in 1973. She was an Administrative Assistant in the safety department at Schering Plough in Kenilworth for 28 years. Surviving are her parents, Charles and Dolores Cox Yerger; her dearest friend, Peter McCord; her uncle, John J. Cox of Oxnard, CA; her aunts, Gladys O'Neill of Bloomfield and Audrey Cuccinelli of Rutherford and many cousins. Funeral services will begin on Monday, October 25th at 10:30 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 12:00 noon chapel service at Hazelwood Cemetery. Interment will follow. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
