Obituary of Lucy Lyons

Lucy H Lyons, 98, of North Plainfield and Normandy Beach died on November 5, 2010 at her home in North Plainfield. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Patricia Kelleher of Plainfield, Mary Burt of Falmouth, Maine, Judith Storck of North Plainfield; her sons, James of Bedminster and Thomas of Bethlehem, Pa. She will be missed by her 16 grandchildren; William Kelleher, Mary Ellen Delaney, Joseph Kelleher, Daniel Kelleher, Bess St Lawrence, Kevin Moss, Sarah Bickard, Katherine Storck, Margaret Tarka, Kristen Mc Millan, Shannon Green, Kara Lawson, James K Lyons, Bridget Lyons, Casey Lyons, Patrick Lyons, and 17 great grandchildren. Lucy was a past member of St Mary's Church, Plainfield and a current member of St Joseph's Parish in North Plainfield. She was also a member of the Muhlenberg Hospital Auxiliary, The Rosary Society of St. Mary's and St. Joseph's R.C. Church, The Catholic Women's Club, Plainfield Country Club and the Manasquan River Country Club. She was an avid bridge player for over 50 years. Her husband, Joseph B Lyons, predeceased her in 1976. Visitation will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield, NJ on Monday November 8, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will begin at 8:30 am on Tuesday November 9, 2010 at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass of Resurrection at 9:30 am at St Joseph's R.C. Church in North Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
